Your original inline fuel filter was a metal body for life and was not susceptible to damage like the cheap plastic housing filter you find and your local auto parts store. Plus with gasoline now days that strips out all of the fine particles in your fuel system you need to run a good filter to keep all of the debris from getting into your carburetor or fuel pump. The filter is correct for MGB, Triumph TR250, Triumph TR6, Triumph Spitfire 1973 to 1980 and Triumph TR7 1975 to 1980 Non Fuel injection.
